About

Our Commitment to You We are more than a bank. We are the combined heritage of generations who have worked together to leave lasting contributions in the homes and communities of the Hudson Valley. We believe in our members – in their stories, both past and yet unwritten. We are responsible to them in all weather, to be prepared and continuously seek improvement for their advantage. Our members’ legacies are our own. We are Hudson Heritage. Let’s get you there. These four words mean the world to us. In a time of uncertainty caused by financial crisis and mistrust of larger banks, we seek to provide safety in community and a cooperative member base. We do not define there, but urge our members to affirm their own destinations. Hudson Heritage is the vessel to get them there. Together. So what is a credit union? A credit union is a not-for-profit financial institution. We offer all the same services as a bank, but we’re not a bank. Banks set out to make a profit off the services they provide. At the end of the day, they are in business for their benefit, not yours. At a credit union, the funds we have left after all our bills are paid are returned to our members in the form of lower fees and higher yield rates so you keep more of your money, as it should be. We’re here to offer a secure place for you to save your hard earned cash and borrow funds with fair rates. We are member-owned and community oriented, which means our primary purpose is to help you and the community in which we operate, not to make money selling you products you don’t need. We’re neighbors, all based in the Hudson Valley and anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers, or goes to school in Orange, Ulster, Dutchess, or Rockland, Pike, and Sussex Counties qualifies for membership with us.
