Description
The Moon Festival is coming back again on Sept 14 &15 this year! The 9th Annual Moon Festival is the largest multicultural event in the Tri-state region, celebrating one of Asia’s most revered holidays - the Moon Festival or Mid-Autumn Festival.
Generations and families, young and old, will connect with each other and the local community through soaring music of the erhu, pipa, drums, and other traditional Chinese instruments. There will be joyful dragon and lion dances, beautiful Classical Chinese dance, and more community performance groups!
If you love delicious food, you cannot miss it! There will be traditional moon cakes and authentic cuisine from different regions in China, as well as food vendors from the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Taiwan. It’s a truly multicultural affair with Middle Eastern, Mexican, and Italian food as well!
Kids can play at the Moon Festival all day long with many cultural activities, such as face painting, origami, coloring, crafting lanterns and lucky moon rabbits, as well as hopping in the moon bounce and other inflatables. It’s a time of great celebration, family reunion, and gratitude for the blessings and gifts we have in life!
