About
The PICTORIAL FOUNDATION is a women led 501(c)(3) not for profit arts organization dedicated to building a living framework for artists to be seen, read, supported, and remembered. Located in the heart of Newburgh, New York, the Foundation serves as a space for dialogue between artists and audiences, where photography, film, and the visual arts intersect with contemporary thought and experience.
Founded by Karen Ghostlaw Pomarico and Melanie Meggs and guided by a passionate Board of Trustees, the Foundation fosters the creation, exhibition, and exploration of contemporary multidisciplinary art through exhibitions, educational programs, artist talks, workshops, film screenings, publications, and cultural events. Through these initiatives, the Foundation supports emerging and established artists while creating meaningful opportunities for community engagement and cultural exchange.
The Foundation is also home to The Pictorial List, an international photography magazine dedicated to visual storytelling and contemporary photographic practice. Together, the Foundation and magazine connect artists and audiences across the globe while contributing to the cultural and economic vitality of the City of Newburgh and the Hudson Valley region. I think this version is stronger than the earlier one because it directly incorporates your published mission statement and emphasizes both the Foundation and The Pictorial List.
