Founded in 1867, we are one of New York's most distinctive boutique boarding schools—intentionally small in scale, yet expansive in possibility. Perched atop a stunning Hudson River mountaintop just an hour from New York City, we enroll 181 students in grades 8–PG from around the world. With an average class size of eight and a 5:1 student–teacher ratio, our students choose from 126 academic offerings—including 23 AP and Honors courses—and compete across 19 varsity athletic programs. Here, intellectual rigor, artistic ambition, and competitive spirit are grounded in a community that feels less like a campus and more like a home.
