A Message from Village Mayor Becky Pearson and the Board of Trustees

Welcome to the Village of Walden. Our community is embraced by the Shawangunk Ridge and its beauty is enhanced by the people who live and work here. Feel free to explore our beautiful parks or enjoy a meal at one of our cafes or restaurants. Walk the beautiful Rail Trail or enjoy free concerts, co-sponsored by our Community Council, Recreation & Parks Department, and Josephine-Louise Public Library, Wednesdays during July and August.  

Visit our beautiful Josephine Louise library and enjoy one or all of their amazing programs. Our diverse Village is home to 15 different houses of worship, who co-host many activities for all to enjoy. Given our close proximity to New York City and our access to trains and bus service we are the perfect community for those that want to enjoy “the country life” and still be able to work in the NY metropolitan area.
