Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, providing excellent guest relations from arrival to departure
• Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Toats POS and Micros POS, processing sales transactions efficiently
• Serve food and beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks with professionalism and flair, ensuring proper drink service etiquette
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales revenue
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, handling food safely, and ensuring the dining area is welcoming at all times
• Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, supporting kitchen staff in a fast-paced culinary environment
• Manage cash handling accurately and process payments using POS systems while providing clear receipts and change

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or casual settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for seamless sales processing
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest loyalty
• Ability to multitask effectively through time management and prioritization in a busy setting
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions confidently and accurately
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail recipes, and beverage service techniques to upsell effectively
• Food safety certification and understanding of sanitation standards required for food handling and serving processes
• Previous experience in hospitality roles such as host/hostess or bussing is highly valued
• Familiarity with food industry standards including food preparation, guest relations, and alcohol service regulations
