
Payroll Specialist
Payroll Specialist- Middletown, NY
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accurate, full-cycle bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now.
- Manage payroll taxes, reconciliations, and audits (DOL, Workers’ Comp).
- Handle payroll adjustments, bonuses, garnishments, and benefits-related tasks.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll laws.
- Maintain employee records and assist with HR events and functions.
- Prepare reports, including GL reconciliation, 401(k) contributions, and annual benefit statements.
- Cross-train staff and support HR initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of ADP Workforce Now payroll experience. REQUIRED
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, taxes, and benefits administration.
- Proficient in payroll reconciliations, audits, and reporting.
- Certified Payroll Professional is a plus.
Skills:
- Detail-oriented with strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of wage and hour laws, accounting practices, and HR procedures.
