We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to health and safety standards. This role is vital in promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

Duties

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide catheter care and support with other medical needs as required.
• Monitor and record vital signs to ensure the health status of clients is maintained.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the client’s living environment.
• Document care provided in medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
• Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including accompanying clients to appointments.
• Provide hospice care as needed, ensuring comfort during end-of-life stages.

Requirements

• Previous experience in long-term care or home health settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic medical procedures, including vital signs monitoring and catheter care.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of medical records.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
• Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting or assisting clients as needed.
• Certification as a Home Health Aide or similar qualification is a plus but not mandatory.
