Poughkeepsie, NY - Arnoff Moving & Storage is gearing up for the Great northAmerican Food Drive, an annual effort to collect non-perishable food items and help fight food insecurity in our communities. All donations will benefit Dutchess Outreach, supporting local families in need. Food insecurity affects millions of Americans each year, with many households struggling to put meals on the table.

As a fifth-generation, family-owned company with over 100 years of service, Arnoff is deeply committed to giving back to the communities it serves. The Great northAmerican Food Drive is a partnership between northAmerican Van Lines, a global leader in the moving industry, and Move for Hunger, a national hunger relief non-profit organization working with the relocation and multifamily industries to reduce food waste & fight hunger.

This year, Arnoff is introducing multiple ways for the community to get involved and help us collect donations:

Battle of the Boxes – Friendly Business Competition - Local businesses compete to collect the most donations by weight. Arnoff will award a prize to the team that collects the most and an additional prize for the best decorated collection box. Event runs from September 1st, 2025 to September 21st, 2025. Residential “Front Porch” Food Drives

Arnoff is partnering with residential communities The residents will receive bags on their front porch to fill and leave outside where the Arnoff team will collect donations.

Collecting Donations - Those looking to donate on their own can visit Arnoff's location at 1282 Dutchess Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, NY by October 1st, 2025.

In 2024, Arnoff’s total company efforts helped deliver over 200,000 lbs of food to local pantries.
